Los Angeles Cinematographer

Something You Should Know…

I genuinely care about your ideas. This is not about be me. How you tell your brand’s story online is literally a matter of life and death for your bottom line. Ok maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you wouldn’t be here if the sentiment doesn’t resonate. The images associated with your brand are often the first interaction your audience has with your product or service.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Cinematographer here…

My name is Christian Santiago. I am a cinematographer and digital content creator based in Los Angeles, California who specializes in creating beautiful images that exist beyond themselves and work for you. They’re cinematic solutions for your modern-day marketing challenges.

I once took a cinematography class in high school as an elective hoping to score an "easy A" for “slacking off and watching movies.”That class deserves all the credit for putting a camera in my hand, for teaching me to carve the world with light and shadow, and for showing me the power images can wield over our emotions and decisions. I finally understood why I couldn’t help hiding Spider-Man and Batman comic books in my textbooks when I should have been paying attention to chemistry class.

For some reason, I majored in English in college and spent six miserable months as a copywriter upon graduating. Although full-time copywriting wasn’t for me, it forced me to respect the importance of the stories that accompany the images that we create. They simply do not work without that deep, molten magma of human emotions that we all yearn to connect with.

After some meandering and soul searching working odd jobs, I started freelancing as a camera operator and editor and transitioned into starting my own media company offering video production and commercial photography services.

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting some really interesting projects for some very cool clients over the years who’ve taken me quite a ways around the world. This career has given me many challenges, but also many blessings.

In the rare moment that you see me without a camera in my hand, it's likely that I am getting a workout, trying helplessly to keep my garden alive, or watching Miami Heat basketball, yelling at the TV as if I could play better.
