A Tale of Two Cameras

I am still that kid who goes nuts on Christmas…

I got my hands on a RED KOMODO back when they were impossible to find in the wild. I wouldn’t have been content to settle for shooting my dog in the living room, boring charts, or slow-motion B-roll of a pretty girl frolicking on the beach. I wanted to test the camera under the type of production conditions I normally find myself in. So that’s what I did.

I got together with my buddy Juwan and he arranged for us to have a warehouse gym all to ourselves for a night to give the Komodo a real stress test. This meant giving that global shutter a run for its money, so we went for that high octane, grind til the last rep, aesthetic you might find in a gritty Nike or Gatorade commercial.
